Bull Run is a newer hybrid born from Spore Genetics’ own work, blending the rugged reliability of Hillbilly with the dense, potent character of Penis Envy. The result is a strain sometimes called “Homestead PE,” a nod to its sturdy, no-frills build. The fruits are thick and solid, with caps that can stay rounded and heavy, often carrying muted caramel tones that darken toward the center. Stems are chunky and strong, giving the mushrooms a blocky, grounded appearance. Under the microscope, its spores reflect the strength of both parents—dense, lively, and full of variation.
