The Turkey Tail liquid culture is a live, lab-isolated culture of Trametes versicolor — the colorful, banded bracket that’s among the most studied functional mushrooms. Each 10cc syringe is ISO 7 prepared, ready to inoculate hardwood or grain.
Turkey Tail forms thin, overlapping fans marked with concentric bands of brown, tan, blue-gray, and cream — the rings that give it its name. The velvety, multicolored brackets tile across wood in rosette-like clusters.
Too thin and leathery to eat, it’s grown almost exclusively for functional use in teas and extracts, where it’s one of the best-known functional mushrooms.
