Portobello Liquid Culture Syringe
The Portobello liquid culture is a live, lab-isolated culture of Agaricus bisporus — the familiar meaty brown mushroom, the mature form of the cremini and button. Each 10cc syringe is ISO 7 prepared, ready to inoculate grain and composted substrate.
Portobello matures into large, flat, deep-brown caps with exposed dark gills and a substantial, steak-like presence. It’s the same species as the white button, simply grown out to full size and color.
Rich, meaty, and satisfying, it’s a kitchen mainstay — grilled, roasted, or used as a hearty meat substitute. It’s a more advanced grow than the oysters, favoring a composted substrate.
